Leading health and social care technology company, HAS Technology, has appointed Jason Harries as its new Managing Director in a key step for the business to support health and social care integration. With Jason’s deep knowledge of health and HAS Technology’s long heritage in local authority care, the organisation will be well placed to support the integrated care systems that are being created to help people to live healthier lives for longer, and to stay out of hospital when they do not need to be there.
Jason, who has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare informatics, joins the team from Telstra Health UK - Dr Foster, where as MD he pivoted the business from primarily working with Acute Trusts to working across healthcare systems and supporting the wider population health agenda utilising AI and Machine Learning to support predictive analytics. During his career, he has worked with over 480 healthcare organisations worldwide and around 160 NHS organisations across the UK.
Prior to Dr Foster, Jason held senior roles at Ernst and Young and Capita. At Capita he was MD of Capita Healthcare Analytics and was instrumental in building the Top Hospital Awards into a key event in the NHS diary, attended by 220 plus senior healthcare executives from across the service.
Speaking of his appointment, Jason said: “I’m delighted to be joining HAS Technology at such an exciting time in its evolution. My background in analytics and predictive modelling and experience of the NHS are a perfect strategic fit to take the organisation forward and build on its success. To be leading an organisation that can help Healthcare providers ensure that the right care is given to the right citizen at the right time and ultimately prevent illness is incredibly exciting."
Mick Crosthwaite, HAS Technology’s Executive Chairman, said: “Jason’s appointment is a key step forward for the Group in realising our growth plans and ambitions. He brings with him the skills to develop a successful organisation and the passion to ensure quality in service delivery remains a key focus.”

HAS Technology Group was recognised in the professional services category for driving economic growth and leading innovation across the UK over the last three years.
